Tropical storm Alma

Tropical storm Alma struck Honduras at about 21:00 GMT on 29 May. Data supplied by the US Navy and Air Force Joint Typhoon Warning Center suggest that the point of landfall was near 12.4 N, 87.0 W. Alma brought 1-minute maximum sustained winds to the region of around 101 km/h (63 mph). Wind gusts in the area may have been considerably higher.
